General Contest Rules

I. WHO MAY ENTER.

All AM 1400 WINC contests are open to any/all AM 1400 WINC listeners who are legal U.S. residents living or working in the AM 1400 WINC listening area unless otherwise specified by AM 1400 WINC and its affiliates.

Only one (1) qualifier or winner per family/household within any 30 day period. Once a person wins a contest, he/she is no longer eligible to win that contest, or any other contest, within the 30 day time period. The decision of AM 1400 WINC is final.

Contests are open to all individuals, 18 years of age or older. All employees of Centennial Broadcasting II, LLC, members of their families, employees of Centennial Broadcasting II, LLC's advertising agencies and members of their families, and employees of other radio stations are ineligible. If a winner's ineligibility is determined after winning, any prizes must be forfeited.

Winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Both individuals must sign an affidavit/release prior to the receipt of the prize.

All contestants acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that AM 1400 WINC has the right to publicize and/or broadcast his/her name, character, likeness, voice, or all matters incidental here-in.

II. RULES.

All contest statutes and provisions of the State of Virginia and the U.S. Federal Government, including the Federal Communications Commission restrictions, apply to this contest.

All contest entries become the property of AM 1400 WINC.

Phone calls made by AM 1400 WINC personnel may be recorded and, after receiving an individual's permission, aired; likewise, individuals contacted in person may be recorded with their permission. WINNER'S CONVERSATIONS MAY BE BROADCAST PERIODICALLY ON AM 1400 WINC. ALL WINNERS AGREE TO GRANT AM 1400 WINC PERMISSION TO BROADCAST THE CONVERSATION AND FURTHER AGREE TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES, AND THEIR CITY OF RESIDENCE. Likewise, all winners grant AM 1400 WINC permission to broadcast their name, city of residence, and their cash and prize winnings as part of live and recorded promotional announcements on AM 1400 WINC and publicity in other media, including TV and newspapers.

When winners call in for a contest, they may be asked to say a certain phrase such as "I listen to AM 1400 WINC at least two hours every day."

AM 1400 WINC reserves the right to conduct as many or as few contest interviews on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as the General Manager deems necessary to sustain interest in the contest and the promotional values for the station.

Additions or deletions to these rules and addendum (if any) are subject to the discretion of AM 1400 WINC, and may be enacted at any time.

AM 1400 WINC, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors, or representatives absolve themselves of any liability, financial or otherwise, resultant of any "on" or "off" air contest staged by AM 1400 WINC.

III. PHONE ENTRY

In the event that two telephone lines are tied together during a phone-in contest, the entire phone call will be disqualified and another phone call will be taken.

AM 1400 WINC cannot award duplicate prizes to both parties in a "tied-together" situation. An example of a tied-together call may be two telephone calls originating from the same location or residence, or a party line.

In case of a dispute over telephone lines, the decision of AM 1400 WINC is final.

IV. PRIZES.

Winners must sign a release prior to the receipt of a prize. If the prize is valued at $600.00 or over, winners are ineligible to compete for ninety (90) days; if the prize is valued under $600.00 they are ineligible for thirty (30) days.

Any contest cash winner receiving in excess of $600 will receive a #1099 form for Federal and State tax declaration of prize. Winners are obligated to pay their taxes on the amount of their winnings. All winners will receive their cash prize from AM 1400 WINC within twenty-one (21) days after winning. Winners understand and agree that they are responsible for any/all taxes incurred on prizes received valued at $600 or more.

All prizes, unless otherwise specified, must be picked up within two weeks (14 days) of winning. AM 1400 WINC will not notify winners of the time remaining on their winnings.

In the event a winner chooses not to accept a prize, they forfeit any and all claims to the prize, which can then be awarded to a contest runner-up at the discretion of AM 1400 WINC.

All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.

AM 1400 WINC is at liberty to give away any unclaimed prize at the end of the two week grace period.

All major prizes will be given away by AM 1400 WINC; odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries.

AM 1400 WINC may, due to unavailability of prizes, substitute another prize of equal value.

Prizes valued under $25.00 may be mailed. All other prizes must be claimed in person unless otherwise specified. Proper identification required (valid drivers license, passport, state id, or military id).

Designated Representatives: In very unique situations, designated representatives will be allowed to accept prizes. Written authorization from the winner is required. Letter must include representative's name, ID, social security number, and a photocopy of the WINNER'S driver's license. AM 1400 WINC will determine what constitutes a "unique situation".

AM 1400 WINC is not responsible for defective prizes.

All prizes are non-transferable, void where prohibited by law.

AM 1400 WINC is not responsible for providing lists of prizewinners.

V. COPY OF RULES.

These official contest rules are available for review at the AM 1400 WINC office during regular business hours Monday through Friday. The rules are also available by mail, by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to:
